HandMade Beauty, Natural Cosmetics To Eat!

It all started with the kitchen. I graduated from Le Cordon Bleu, a renowned haute cuisine school in Madrid, more than 12 years ago, but now I am vegan. Such a radical change can be difficult to understand. However, thanks to the fact that I studied cooking, I understood food in a very different way and I opened my eyes to a reality that I did not like.

I then understood food as a way to enrich not only the body, but also our mind and spirit, and I understood that without compassion for other living beings this is impossible to achieve.

Natural cosmetics with values

These new values ​​were spreading to all areas of my life: cosmetics, clothing, accessories, travel. I was sensitized in every way. This is how HandMade Beauty was born.

At first it was thought only as a beauty center, but today it is already a brand of natural and organic cosmetics with its own treatments and protocols. And also with projects to take the initiative further …

There have always been people who, due to health, pregnancy, intolerances and allergies, or because they share this way of understanding beauty and life, have been interested in natural cosmetics. But it is now that many more people have realized that it is not a passing fad, but something beneficial for health and well-being, with a real physical, emotional and spiritual impact.

Slow spaces where you can take care of yourself

In the centers, our philosophy is experienced through protocols that include facial and body rituals, and manicure and pedicure treatments. At the same time, we have created relaxed and meticulously designed environments where you can enjoy relaxing music, with natural flowers and plants, candles, books on different disciplines and aromatherapy.

HandMade Beauty centers aim to be havens of peace, temples of the slow, organic and personalized philosophy of life. We try to stop time and put our knowledge and means so that clients have a relaxed and positive experience.

Personalized treatments

The other pillar of our project is Apothecary, our little “apothecary.” There we customize the protocols with 100% natural, organic, simple and vegan ingredients.

Apothecary is based on the fundamentals of natural cosmetics: herbal medicine, aromatherapy, halotherapy, mineral therapy and geothermal energy. Although we have exclusive protocols for our centers, this is where we take them to another level, since they are adapted to each person according to their physical and emotional state.

‘Edible’ cosmetics

Our Apothecary is organic and almost everything we have can be ingested ; In other words, it is a cosmetic that could not only be applied topically. Its benefits can go further, to internal health, essential to achieve that authentic and natural beauty that we defend. For now, in the centers, we only make topical use of our plants, tinctures, oils, clays and salts. The idea is to apply those ingredients more broadly, although for now it is just a project as it takes time to study and master.

Take away packaging and lots of information

In addition to the treatments, we offer the possibility of taking the ingredients used home with recyclable and reusable containers. These can be refilled in the center as soon as they are finished, with the same or another formulation.

For us it is very important to make the client see and feel that the HandMade Beauty philosophy must be lived on a daily basis, in all areas and to the greatest extent possible. For this reason, we try to involve those who come to our centers and inform them of all the ingredients, their benefits, utilities and forms of application.

Feed your organic spirit

In summary, Apothecary is the most emotional part of our project: although the results and the application are physical, we aspire that the whole ends up transporting to an emotional and mental plane. Hence our motto : Feed your Organic Spirit or “Feed your organic spirit.”

We have created hypoallergenic formulations made in Spain, all of them natural, simple and effective, and most with the recognized Ecocert certification. Although today it is a debated topic, it is important to offer an international guarantee that includes the principles of natural, ethical and organic cosmetics, the same that are part of our ideology as a company: transparent and honest cosmetics.

With these products that respect the body, we intend to offer real treatments and beauty, without impossible promises, that enhance the unique qualities of each person.

Diana Burillo is Mexican by birth, but a globetrotter at heart, she has lived in many places.

He studied cooking and interior design. He also became interested in protocol, art and, more recently, cosmetics.

Faced with the rise of nail bars in Spain, she saw that no one cared to offer something coherent to people who, like her, out of conviction, allergies or illness, were looking for natural, organic and vegan cosmetics. This is how HandMade Beauty came about.

Today she continues to train as a cosmetologist. Her wish is to formulate all the products herself.
