With the rhythm of life that we often lead, we do not have time to eat at home or have a healthy snack, that is why in this article I recommend things that you can easily take or buy in grocery stores, which are not expensive, do not take up much and they do not need refrigeration.

Nuts

It is my first choice always. A bag of mixed nuts that I take from home or that I buy in a moment in any grocery store.

A bag of peeled walnuts, pistachios or almonds is one of the best snacks you can take with you. It does not take up anything, it does not go bad quickly and you can eat it at any time.

Dried fruits

Dried apricots, raisins, figs, mango, etc. They are usually sweeter but they are also worth us. A bag or a small container with a handful fits in your bag or backpack and you have a sweet snack to snack on anywhere. You can also mix nuts with dried fruits.

Fresh fruits

Although this is already more difficult because most of them get ugly if they hit themselves or if they get hot, there is always some seasonal fruit that we can buy in a greengrocer and eat at the moment or carry with us.

Tangerines are one of the fruits that hold up the best, in fact in season I used to take a couple of tangerines for school recess. Other times a banana or an apple (well washed). Oranges also hold up very well.

In general, if they are hard fruits or with resistant skin, we can take them anywhere.

Pate + sticks

You can take it home made (for example hummus, guacamole, babaganoush, mushroom pate, lentils, etc) along with some carrot sticks, bread rolls, etc. As it is to nibble, you do not need a large amount, so a very small container and some breadsticks and walk. It also takes up little space and you don’t have to scrub or clean cutlery.

Bars

Preferably homemade, but if not they also sell cereal bars and nuts that can be used. I prefer the homemade ones because I put what I want: oatmeal, flax seeds, puffed quinoa, dark chocolate, pumpkin seeds, walnuts, peanut butter, tahiniā€¦ Come on, without added sugar and always to my liking.

When I make a couple of trays of bars, I keep them, once cold, in airtight jars (for example the typical cookie jars) so that I can take them whenever I want. To take away I wrap a couple in kitchen paper and that’s it.

Vegetable chips

They can be homemade or purchased. If you have landlords, much better. Chips made with parsnip, beetroot, banana, carrot, coconut, yucca, etc.

In many grocery stores we can find them, although, as I said, it is better if they are homemade, baked or in the dehydrator and with olive oil. They are an option, but if you can choose better nuts and fruits.
